BAYGON
Aling Seleng was bothered by pesky mosquitoes one night. So she did what anyone else would do. She got up, went to the cabinet, took out the Baygon, and sprayed... on her face. Turned out, the nozzle was directed to her so everything went to her face when she sprayed the Baygon.
LOURDES
One day, Aling Seleng complained of pain due to her ulcer. They called for an albularyo to find a cure for it. But when the albularyo came, he insisted that Aling Seleng was possessed by an evil spirit.
Albularyo (A): Sino ka??
Aling Seleng (AS): Ako si Seleng!
A: Hindi ikaw si Seleng! Sino ka?
AS: Ako nga si Seleng!
A: Hindi ikaw si Seleng!
AS: Ako nga si Seleng!
And on and on it went until... the albularyo told her that if the "spirit" would continue to lie and stay inside Aling Seleng's body, he would slam her face in the fire which he had just lit (imagine those old "stoves" which requires pumping of gas in order to make fire). He was still asking her the identity of the "spirit", because he really believed that she's possessed. When her face was almost near the fire, Aling Seleng blurted out:
AS: Lourdes! Ako si Lourdes!
Lourdes, apparently, is the name of her sister who I think she hates. Well, at least the albularyo believed her and just told "Lourdes" to leave Seleng alone.
We have musical neighbors. It was as if I was in a concert the other day when all of them decided to sing and play their lyre and piano. Whew.
Christmas is soooooo near! Happiness! ♥
A couple of lines I heard from the film I saw my mom watching earlier:
* Words spoken in anger are never from the heart.
*'Tis never good to run to run to something if you're running away from something else.
It's always easy when you're just a spectator.
