I was supposed to buy a Mojofly CD today, but, instead I bought two books. Out of curiousity, I purchased a copy each of Stainless Longganisa and Alamat Ng Gubat by Bob Ong. I've read only a book of his before, which is Bakit Baliktad Magbasa Ng Libro Ang Mga Pilipino?. I heard my blockmates raving about Bob Ong books. I saw a book that I would love to own, but forgot the exact title. I think it's something like... Oh fudge. I totally forgot. Basta it's a compilation of Filipino horror stories in English with a woman with long, curly hair combing her hair in the front cover; very The Ring-like. I considered buying that book, although it looked like it's been in the shelf for over a year, but my mom told me to stop buying and reading horror books. I can't! I love horror stories, though they make me feel uncomfortable after reading them. Maybe she thought that I'll end up writing morbid stories. Haha. But anyway, I'm reading Stainless.. and it's actually good. But I still wish National Bookstore has another more presentable copy of the horror book. Oh, maybe Powerbooks has copies of it.
Speaking of books, my favorite as of the moment is Dapitan. It's a folio of literary pieces written by students and professors from our faculty. However, it's given (for free!) to AB students only.
ciao.
